Description
Domestic and Family Violence Response Training (DV-alert) is designed to build capacity in frontline workers within universal services for whom family violence is not a core function of their role.
Learn how to:
recognise the signs of domestic and family violence
respond with appropriate care
refer effectively to support services
We are committed to ending violence against women and their children, dedicated to empowering frontline workers and volunteers to respond confidently to those in crisis. We deliver expert domestic violence response training with care and compassion in a safe space where workshop participants can learn, connect and share. All DV-alert training is FREE, funded by the Department of Social Services and free for eligible frontline workers.

WORKSHOPS
2-hour DV-aware
Delivered virtually, learn the different signs and forms of abuse, and what to do if you know someone experiencing violence. Eligible for anyone 18 years and over and living in Australia.
1-day DV-aware
Delivered both in person and virtually gain an understanding of the complexities of domestic and family violence. Learn how to recognise the signs, how to respond safely and how to refer when necessary. Eligible for anyone 18 years and over and living in Australia. Students are welcomed.
2-day DV-alert
Delivered in person for frontline workers and volunteers (you will need a USI), 18 years and over and living in Australia. Learn how to recognise the signs of domestic violence, respond appropriately, and refer to support services. After completing this training, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence. There are numerous 2-day streams, including:

1-day Specialty
If you have accomplished a 2-day in person or 3-part virtual DV-alert workshop or DV-alert eLearning, you are eligible to apply for a 1-day specialist workshop, these include:
- Men who use Violence
