Our Events

Lifeline Loddon Mallee is committed to ensuring that every person in Australia is aware of our services and that we are here to listen, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are proud that Australians are currently reaching out to Lifeline in record numbers because we know that it is through connection that hope is found.

Below are our upcoming campaigns designed to encourage both help-seeking and help-giving behaviours within the Australian community.

Upcoming events

  • Hello For Hope is a month of events to support and celebrate Lifeline Loddon Mallee’s crucial work in crisis support and mental health training.

It takes place in September, and you can be part of it!

Lifeline Loddon Mallee answered over 22000 calls this year at our local call centres from people needing support or short-term crisis help.

It costs $39 to answer each call, and $3500 to train each of our volunteer crisis supporters.

  • 3249 Australians died by suicide in 2022.

Luke Baker is riding one kilometre for every life lost to raise awareness of crisis support available and funding for Lifeline Loddon Mallee.

This journey will take him from Albany in West Australia to Bendigo in Victoria.

Every $39 raised answers one more call to someone in crisis, and every $3500 trains another volunteer counsellor to answer those calls.

  • SFNL are partnering with Lifeline

to deliver a HOW'S YA MATE round in

    August.

It all begins with an idea. Are you checking in with your mates?

It just takes one sentence to get the conversation started.

CHECKING IN WITH YOUR MATE IS THE GAME CHANGER

  • Lifeline Ride is an annual ride from Mildura to a nearby point of interest and back, roughly a 180km round trip.

It is open to all riders and is a social and community-led event.

This event raises funds for the Lifeline call centre in Irymple so Lifeline Loddon Mallee can continue to answer calls from people in crisis and train additional crisis supporters to take those calls.

It costs $39 to answer each call and $3500 to train a new crisis supporter.

  • Bendigo Bank Bendigo branch network, along with Lifeline Loddon Mallee Volunteers, walk 20kms to raise funds for Lifeline Loddon Mallee (LLLM).

The funds will go towards accredited volunteer training, to increase the number of calls the organisation can take.

For each accredited volunteer, Lifeline can answer on average an additional 312 calls each year. 2% of calls made to Lifeline are imminent suicide calls; the more calls they are able to answer, the more lives can be saved in our community.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 which will cover the cost of putting 6 volunteers through accredited training.
